Real Quick Notes

Last night, I posted a blog called In Defense of Chris Coste, so be sure to check that out. Yesterday, I posted a Q&A with Brad Tippett, so hopefully you enjoyed that. I have questions sent to several more Twins minor leaguers so expect there to be some more Q&As in the near future. I also will be having a Guest Writer in the next day or so. I am always interested in guest writers for this site, so if you have something you would like to write, please feel free to e-mail me and we will talk specifics. Real quickly, I wanted to take a few minutes and post a few notes on a few topics and link to some good articles by other Twins bloggers. Enjoy!

·         First of all, I will be on the Jack Michaels Show on The Fan (am710, Bismarck’s ESPN radio affiliate) at about 10:20 a.m. on Wednesday.  I always enjoy talking Twins baseball with Jack. So, if you’re in North Dakota, or close, tune in to am710, and if you’re not, you can listen to the site’s live feed.

·         I am glad that Joe Christensen was able to confirm that the Twins do not have interest in Jarrod Washburn. As expected, the rumors involving Washburn and Jeff Clement coming to the Twins for Delmon Young were nothing to worry about. But if nothing else, it was fun to see the blog commenters backing Young for once!!

·         David Laurila of Baseball Prospectus posted a very interesting Q&A with Blake Wheeler of the Boston Bruins. The Plymouth, MN, native and former Minnesota Gophers star is having an excellent rookie season. It’s a fun interview because it combines discussions on hockey, baseball and statistics.

·         Are you interested in a Johan Santana bobblehead? Click here to see how you can try to get one.

·         Aaron Gleeman posted his choices for Twins Prospects #21-25.

·         Here is Josh Johnson’s choice for the Twins #15 prospect.

·         Over the Baggy asks, “Did Tom Kelly Wreck Brad Radke’s Career?”

·         In a very sad note, Josh Taylor has decided to retire Taylor’s Twins Talk. That is unfortunate for Twins fans as Josh did a great job of blogging on the Twins and their minor leagues. We certainly wish him the best, and hope he changes his mind and still posts from time to time.

·         Be sure to add MN Sports Talk to your bookmarked Twins sites.

·         Also, take a moment to check out the Sac Bunt Baseball Card Blog.

·         John Sickels posted a Jason Kubel Retro that is very interesting.

·         Go to Twins Territory to help develop a Community Projection for Scott Baker.

·         Finally, be sure to check out the blog of Cory Hepola. He covers baseball, football, movie reviews and much more. I enjoyed his reviews of two movies that I watched and really enjoyed over the weekend; The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Revolutionary Road.

·         And tonight at 8:00, I will be hosting a Live Chat. Check back later for more specifics.

. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to put them in the comments, or e-mail me and I will try to get a response.
