Blogging Here, Blogging There

Alright, this is going to be quick because it’s late, and I’ve been writing all night. I was writing from my home computer, rather than the Metrodome for reasons that, for now, I won’t get into on this blog. Here are some things for you to read.

  • The Live Chat was still on throughout the game, the long, long game, so be sure to click here to read the transcript of the live chat.
  • That Twins/Tigers game was incredible. Joe Crede hit a walk-off grand slam with two outs in the bottom of the 13th to give the Twins a 14-10 win. Jesse Crain had balked in a run in the top of the inning. He and Jose Mijares both pitched well in this game. Justin Morneau hit his 9th home run. Jason Kubel came in to pinch hit in the bottom of the eighth and on the first pitch he saw from Joel Zumaya, he tied the game with his fifth homer. It wasn’t a pretty game, but it was a win.
  • For more on the game, please check out my Game Recap over at I wrote it up after the game, published it, and it kind of disappeared. So, I emailed them to see where it went. So, hopefully it will be there in the morning. But again, please be sure to check out the Twins Page of the site. Justin Murphy posted another great Upstate Update, on the Rochester Red Wings. I’m certain there will be some Morning Doinks there as well.
  • My Your Voices article this week was on the Twins and their Build-From-Within philosophy.
  • Finally, remember that at 10:00 tonight, you can listen in on the live recording of the Twins podcast. The Twins Geek and I will talk about this Detroit series and start thinking ahead to the weekend series in New York against the Yankees.
  • The Twins and Tigers now play at noon today. Short night, little sleep. Can you say, “Justin Verlander no-hitter!?”
